Lads were great who did the actual moving. Can’t fault them. Super helpful and apologetic when things didn’t go to plan. Even helped vacuum and tidy after loading.

However a poorly managed company and I wouldn’t recommend . We had to move significant amounts of our stuff ourselves as one van was 9 hours late as had been pulled over by VOSA being overloaded - an issue completely within their control. I had to drive back 4 hours (York to Berkshire), hire a trailer and move solo tumble dryer washing machine and fridge and dump a significant amount of stuff we would have kept. No offer to help following the move date as their lads were on other jobs. Danny promised a small compensation amount (less than 10%) and had the opportunity to close the matter there but despite chasing hasn’t surfaced. Will be taking further action due to stress, additional time off work and out of pocket expenses

We had lived in the previous house for 23 years and had accumulated possessions in that time. The team swept through the house and packed everything well - all our crockery and ornaments arrived intact. I was impressed that the packing material was paper and not plastic too.

On the actual removal days, it was amazing to see everything packed into the vans and then emptied out at the new house. 5 men and 3 vans made the job go as easily as it could and they were happy to put things in the correct rooms, even if that was the second floor.

Thanks to the team for a big move made as easy as it could have been for a great price. I would definitely use you again and recommend you to my family and friends.

From the start of the process of engaging with Focus Removals I had a good feeling. Danny was attentive and easy-going about the move estimate (Covid times so all online). The quote was really good value and even though the guys made a another half-trip they stuck to the agreed price! The guys worked really hard (we moved to a three storey house!). They were polite, helpful and really accommodating and it just made a big day, easier to get through. Would recommend in a heartbeat! All around a really good experience.

We were very impressed right from the start with the service. We were getting messed about regarding our moving date due to hold ups with the searches for the Harrogate area but Daniel English whom we arranged everything through was extremely flexible, courteous and helpful and even though our date was moved three times he still accommodated us and he took all the pressure and stress away from us. On our moving date his three guys came punctually and even though we were moving from a first floor apartment and had a lot of extremely expensive and heavy furniture they never complained, unlike the company that moved us in, and took extreme care with every piece of furniture and everything turned up at our new home in pristine condition. They treated everything with respect, were highly professional and ameniable guys. We could not fault their service and could recommend them highly. The team made our moving day very efficient and stress free. From the start of things Danny communicated well, came up with a quick quote (which he stuck to) and answered questions promptly. We didn't have the packing service but the guys on the day turned up early and worked hard to move everything and added a bit of fun and banter. Nothing was damaged in the process and the offload to our new property (and some stuff to a storage unit) was done very smoothly and quickly. I will be recommending Focus to friends.

Nobody likes the experience of moving house and the choice of removal company can make an enormous difference. We were extremely fortunate with Focus Yorkshire who made us feel completely in control and at ease before, during and after the move. Communication was excellent from the outset- swift and clear quotation provided and uncomplicated arrangements made.

On the day of the move the packers worked quickly and carefully and we were ready to go well before the expected departure point. The vans were packed carefully and thoughtfully which made the unloading really straightforward. At the new house we had one or two items of furniture that were awkward to get in but the team worked hard to make it work!

The whole group were good humoured (despite the raging heat) and concerned to make sure everything was done properly right through to the removal of the boxes. They were also great with the kids.

In short, it was an exemplary service at a very reasonable price and we would definitely use them again.

Although the team arrived a bit later than I expected, they more than made up for any lost time with hard work and enthusiasm. They handled my property with great care, packed the van with plenty of cushioning to prevent scratches and breakages and did some disassembling for me.

The guys were good humoured and courteous and wished me well in my new home.

Not only was Focus’ quote highly competitive, the service represented good value for money. Danny and his colleagues in the office were helpful and efficient. I would definitely use them again.
